SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, GREELEY, NE
Sacred Heart Parish was established in 1893 by predominantly Irish Catholic immigrants. In recent years, our parish family grew when the church doors were permanently closed in our neighboring communities of Wolbach and Scotia. Although a devotion to their faith called many sons and daughters in our community to the religious life, we ourselves were affected by the shortage of priests and, in 2004, we lost our resident pastor. As a result, we joined with St. Michael’s Parish in Spalding and St. Theresa’s in Ericson to become members of the Families in Faith community where we share stewardship, vocations, adoration, and Parish twinning ministries.
For over 100 years, Sacred Heart parishioners have come together under our roof to worship, to pray, to celebrate and to mourn. Ours is a rich tradition with a rich heritage, ever changing, forever prospering.
